Couples Therapy
I appreciate it is significant step to explore therapy options. It takes real courage to open up to another. I am happy to be that other, should you and your partner wish to embark on a therapeutic journey with me.
In couples therapy, as with individual therapy, I seek to provide a safe environment for you both to explore aspects of your life together in an effort to help you both towards a place of healing, change and growth.
In our initial session, I am likely to ask you both many questions as I need to get to know you and understand what you are looking for so I can help you. The questions may range from age, work, family background, to prior relationships. Also specific questions about the challenges you are both having.
During the process of therapy, I may make some suggestions of things you could try that are relative to your situation, for example doing exercises, or recommending specific books to read. This is a process we embark on together, I don’t give you the answers, I help you to find the answers that will work for you.
Prior to coming to see me for our first session, please print and fill out the attached forms, and email these to me one week prior to our appointment. This will help me to prepare to enable us to maximise our time together.
I welcome and look forward to the opportunity of working with you should you choose to meet with me, so we can work through your relationship challenges together.
Sessions are 1 hour 20 minutes and cost $240. Payment can be made by cash or online banking on the day of your appointment.
